Nidly Terms of Use

Last updated: September 20, 2026. Nidly is a family organizer for iPhone and Android, made by VibeApps ("we", "our", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the app. They are written to be read — if something here is unclear, email us and we'll fix the wording.

The short version

This summary is here so the terms are actually readable. The sections below are what applies.

Who can use Nidly

You must be 18 or over to create an account and agree to these terms. Children can appear in a household as family-member profiles created by an adult — a first name, a colour, and optionally a photo — but a child cannot hold an account. If you add someone else to your household, you're responsible for what you share with them.

Your account and your household

You sign in with Apple or Google; we never see or store a password. Keep access to that account secure, because anyone who has it has your Nidly data.

A household is shared by design. Everyone you invite can see and change the household's events, tasks, meals, recipes, grocery lists and rewards, and can see the names and photos of everyone in it. Invite people accordingly — there is no private-within-a-household mode. Anyone in the household can remove a member, and premium, if the household has it, applies to everybody in it.

What you put in Nidly

You keep ownership of your content. To run the service we need your permission to store it, back it up, and show it to the other people in your household — that's the whole licence you give us, it lasts only as long as you keep the content in Nidly, and it exists for no other purpose. We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not sell it.

You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — a recipe photo you took is fine; someone else's copyrighted cookbook page is your call to make.

Deleting your account deletes your content. What happens to it, and how long backups persist, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Nidly Premium

Some features — sending your grocery list to a store, scanning a photo into a recipe or an event, unlimited saved recipes, and reminders on everyone's phone — require a paid subscription. Everything else is free.

Billing is handled entirely by the app store you bought from (Apple's App Store or Google Play), under that store's own terms. That means:

Premium applies to a whole household. If you leave a household you paid for, the subscription stays with the store account that bought it.

The AI features

Nidly can read a photo of an invitation or a recipe and fill in the details for you. That photo is sent to our AI provider, read once, and not stored by them or used to train their models — the Privacy Policy names the provider and says exactly what is sent.

AI gets things wrong. Check what it filled in before you rely on it. A misread date is a missed appointment, and that one is on the reader, not the machine. Scanning is subject to a monthly allowance shared by the household, which we may adjust.

Connected services

If you connect your phone's calendar, Google Calendar, or a grocery account such as Kroger, you're also bound by those services' own terms, and what they do with your data is theirs to answer for. You can disconnect any of them at any time in the app, and doing so removes our access.

Sending a grocery list to a store puts items in that store's cart. We don't sell you groceries, we don't set prices, and we can't fix an order once it's in their hands.

Using Nidly properly

Don't:

We can suspend or close an account that does these things. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll tell you why first.

What we don't promise

Nidly is provided as is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a reminder will always arrive — notifications depend on your phone, your network, and the operating system, none of which we control.

Nidly is a planning tool, not a safety or medical system. Don't use it as the only thing standing between you and a consequence that matters: medication, a legal deadline, childcare handover. Keep a backstop.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow those limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as that place allows. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited.

Ending it

You can stop using Nidly whenever you like, and delete your account from inside the app or at nidly.app/delete-account. We can end this agreement if you break these terms, or if we shut the service down — in which case we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to get your data out.

Changes, and how to reach us

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect, and the date at the top will move. Continuing to use Nidly after that means you accept the new version.

Questions, disputes, or anything you think this page gets wrong: nidlyapp@gmail.com. We'd much rather sort something out by email than any other way.
